About Me

My name is Jessika for those of you who don’t know me and I decided to finally start a blog (been wanting to do so for quite some time and never got the courage or energy to do so). I live in Seattle and have been here most of my life. I’m not sure what all you want to know so I’ll start basic and just let you know the reason I decided to start Nohe’a Ola:Lovely Life.

Well first if you are wondering were the name came from, I go to Maui once a year and there is something about the simple way hawaiians live that is so intriguing and inspiring. My heart is there and maybe one day I’ll live there, but for now it’s a lovely vacation. On my 2nd trip I wanted to get a tattoo that represented how I felt about the place. I found a wonderful women who hand drew the turtle (from the pic above) without ever drawing it on paper first. Nohe’a Ola is Hawaiian for Lovely Life which I thought was a pretty great way to describe how my life should be. On my 3rd trip I decided to add some more inspirational words to my tattoo and am determined to live my life by: “love the the life you live, live the life you love – Bob Marley”. I hoping to show you my love for life through this blog.

The main focus of the blog will be based around health, exercise and food. I hope to share with you my experiences and motivate you to eat clean, train mean, and live lean. It’s a great motto to live by.
